Hanayashiki Golf Club Hirono Course
A traditional, members-only course that will soon celebrate its 60th anniversary. Depending on the pin position, it can test the skills of intermediate and advanced players, who are required to design strategies, deciding whether to go for maximum distance or carefully calibrate their aim at each hole. There are few out-of-bounds to the left and right, and all golfers young and old, male and female, including beginners, can enjoy the game. The course is virtually flat and has a wide fairway, so you can relax and enjoy playing. Opened in 1959 as Hanayashiki Golf Club, and in 1977 hosted the Japanese Women’s Open, as well as hosting USLPGA, JGA, and KGU tournaments. The philosophy of designers Robert Murashima and J. E. Crane, “A good shot should be rewarded,” is carried on to this day. Dining at the long-established Osaka Western-style food restaurant Alaska is also very popular.
