Awaga Golf Club

The Awaga Golf Club, opened in 1975, features a flat course with little height differential despite its hilly location. The fairway near the first shot’s likely landing point is generously wide, averaging 60m to 70m across, great for no-holds-barred shots. The single, continuous bent-grass greens have little undulation, but with a grade of approximately 10 feet, are designed for high-speed play that a wide variety of golfers can enjoy. Awaga Golf Club is located in Kamikawa-cho on the Tonomine Highlands, one of the most famous sites in western Japan for viewing beautiful Japanese pampas grass, and many movies have been shot there. Enjoy golf and many other things besides in natural surroundings that also include the Mineyama Highlands where a new ski resort has opened for the first time in 14 years in Japan.
